Wheel of Excellence, Victoria Wharf

Yesterday, I had a few moments to kill and as I was leisurely walking at the V & A Waterfront in Cape Town, I came across the Wheel of Excellence, built by the French. Although it looked interesting and inviting, it was nothing like London Eye. The generous cabin takes six passengers comfortably or eight slim and friendly ones. The ride lasts between 12 to 15 minutes, the view was simply stunning!! Cape Town in all its glory. Table Mountain, the Marina, Cape Grace, Victoria & Alfred Hotel. In the distance, Chapman's Peake and further afield, Robben Island. Down below, I can see the multitude of people, multi-coloured shops, African music blasting away. The ride was comfortable if not a bit nerve racking, as you can't stand up and move too much to see all directions as the cabin wobbles. Definitely give it a try.
